The client is a US based insurance company offering insurance policies through local agents, through their website
and over the phone directly to the consumer. The client’s IT infrastructure is distributed between on-premises and
on Microsoft Windows Azure cloud platform. PrimeSoft has been engaged by the client to provide DevOps Support and
Process Automation for production and non-production environments and also engage in patching, provisioning,
monitoring and automation activities
Job Description
PrimeSoft is seeking a DevOps Automation Engineer with solid hands on experience in Microsoft Azure cloud platform
and good hands-on experience on C# and PowerShell. This role will be pivotal for Azure automation to improve
overall operational efficiency in applications and infrastructure management. DevOps Automation Engineer will be
responsible for designing, building, managing and supporting various solution components and services offered in
Azure in a high-availability cloud environment. The desired candidate is expected to perform all or most of the
following activities:
The desired candidate shall be a self-starter and can work independently on identified platforms and take ownership of the process automation activities
Responsible for understanding and analyzing the existing operating procedures and optimize the process workflows using automation techniques
Perform duties related to change, release, and build management
Identify errors in the build and release process; recommend improvements
Create and maintain documentation for tools used to support configuration management
Perform with project teams to identify apt build schedule and initiate packaging and build process
Correct build errors working with development engineers
Interact release engineering and QE to debug and also resolve identified issues
Mandatory Skills
Solid understanding of various Azure services with strong hands-on experience with the Azure Portal and Azure PowerShell, Azure ARM Templates and Automation Runbooks
Good understanding of SDLC including Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Deployment and Production Support
2 – 3 years of application development experience in C#, .NET, PowerShell, SQL etc. is mandatory; Experience with any other scripting languages will be a plus
Good understanding of REST, HTTP protocol and JSON/XML
Automation of Azure Infrastructure services is desired
Experience with GIT/TFS/VSTS/Azure DevOps for source code management is preferred
Proactive in learning new tools and technologies, as necessary to create PoC / solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication is desired
Ability to work in a fast paced Agile / Scrum project environment with frequently changing priorities and stringent deadlines
Azure or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) certification is a plus
